You are lost in a heap of opinions, stories, pictures, gadgets, technology, change, responsibilities. In the middle of this social clutter: there is you.
It can be overwhelming. It can be hard to know what to pay attention to. Who is right and who is not. At the same time, you’re struggling to move forward. You’re not a child anymore. You can’t hold anyone’s hand. You have to make life work for you. So what do you do?
Give yourself room to grow.
Allow yourself to adjust to the situations you find yourself in. Allow yourself to be weird, or quiet, or a little crazy. If you find that not every place or person is the same, then let yourself be different versions of you. Life takes less effort when you just let yourself be.
Trust your instincts and urges
First, overcome that longing you feel for the things you want. Focus. What do you need?
You have a natural ability to survive and rise to occasions. There is something inside of you that knows the right thing to do.
Get to know yourself.
Take a deep breath. Who are you? Close your eyes. Think about who you really want to be. What you really want to do. Be careful. The whole world will be a better place if you’re not selfish.
Find the best version of yourself, and if you can’t find it, then (with wisdom) ask someone for some help. A second and third opinion are always good too.
To be honest? You don’t need the best cars or clothes or shoes. You don’t need to impress anyone. You only need to be happy with yourself. So don’t chase anything because of what other people will think. Do everything that you do because everything that you do means something to you.
Life is simpler and less fuzzy that way.
Oh yes, and these things won’t stick in one day or two. Take one year. Take five. Let your growth happen the way it needs to.
